Gerald (Jerry) L. Piacentine, 79, passed peacefully after a long illness, on September 29, 2023 at his home in Port St. Lucie, FL. 


Jerry was born in Chicago, Illinois and relocated to Florida in 1975. Jerry served his country proudly in the United States Army and his community as a Martin County Sheriff’s Deputy. 


Jerry loved animals with a fondness for working with horses and training German Shepards for Police Work.


He is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Kathleen, four daughters, Claudia Stillwell, Michelle (Joey) Obermeyer, Tina Redding, and Kimberly Piacentine and sons, Jay Prisco, Vincent (Justine) Prisco, and Jerry Blackburn as well as his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Concetta Piacentine, sister, Lucille M. Woods and daughter, Jennifer Bellantoni, as well as son-in-law, Michael Redding.


A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 5PM to 7PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984. A Mass will be held at 10AM Thursday, October 12, 2023 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church 350 NW California Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34986.
