Gerard Joseph Neufeld

Gerard J. Neufeld, 93, died September 13, 2008 in Vero Beach, Florida.Mr. Neufeld was born in Brooklyn, New York and resided in Clifton, New Jersey until moving to Vero Beach, Florida in 1997.He was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church, Ft. Pierce and of St. Helen’s Catholic Church, Vero Beach.Gerard was a well respected Postal Historian. He was a member of the American Philatelic Society and of the United Postal Stationery Society. Gerry was a published author of a postal historical book. He had a passion for baseball.Survivors include his daughter, Barbara DeGeorge and husband, Robert of Pompton Plains, NJ; son, Joseph Neufeld and wife, Janet of Vero Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Goldner Neufeld.Services: Entombment will take place at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi, New Jersey.
