October 27, 1943, Gerry was born to Florence and Elsdon Wingate in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up on Long Island with his brother Richard and sister Joan.
He was blessed with two children, Gerry Jr and Carolann.
Gerry enjoyed the ocean and warm weather and liked to spend time at the beach in the summers. Because of the love for warm weather he moves to Florida in the late 80's to enjoy the sun all year!
He tried his best to help others when he could!
Gerry no longer suffers thru the battles illness and is at peace, and with the Lord!
