Gilbert A. Stevenson

Gilbert (Gil) A. Stevenson, 77, died February 6, 2010 at his home in Port St. Lucie.
He was born in Ontario, Canada, and moved to Port St. Lucie in 2009, coming from Findlay, Ohio where he had resided since 1980.
Before his retirement in 2009, he managed the HVAC Division of Harold Shuck Inc. in Findlay, Ohio for 22 years. Prior to this, he owned and operated his own HVAC business in Findlay; he also had managed a retail business in Ontario, and for many years worked in the printing trade. Some of his favorite hobbies were photography and woodworking.
He was a charter member of Word of Truth Christian Center in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Survivors include his sons, David Stevenson of Chilliwack, BC, and Richard (Rick) Stevenson of Kitchener , Ontario; daughter, Charlene Vermaak of Woodstock, Ontario; sisters, Mary Bailey of Welland, Ontario, and Laura McKeegan of Port St. Lucie, FL; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Emmanuel Church, 1470 Huffman Road, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952.
Services: A memorial service will be held at Grace Emmanuel Church, Port St. Lucie on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 7:30 PM. Burial will take place at the Harris Street Cemetery in Ingersoll, Ontario.
