Gilbert G. Miller, 91, of Port St. Lucie, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015, at his home.
He was born September 10, 1924, the son of the late Olaf and Gerta Miller. He grew up in Sayreville, NJ. Before joining the Navy Submarine service in WWII he received an Associate’s degree in Engineering from the University of Alabama. After the war he attended the University of Miami, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Gilbert was a long time resident of Edison and Long Beach Island, NJ, prior to moving to Port St. Lucie in 2000.
Prior to his retirement, Gilbert worked for Ford Motor Company, Johnson & Johnson, GAF, and E.R Squibb and Sons.
Gilbert is survived by sons, Mark D. Miller of Boynton Beach, and Gregory G. Miller of Hillsborough, NJ; grandchildren, Jennifer M. Miller of Richmond, VA, Michael A. Miller and Kevin D. Miller both of Mt. Laurel, NJ; sister, Ann Colburn who resides in North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Gilbert's life will be held, Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 1-3pm in the Haisley Funeral Home Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd., Port Saint Lucie, FL. Services will follow at 3pm.
Graveside services will be held at the B.G. William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ, on Friday, December 18, 2015, at 11AM with Full Military Honors.
