Gina Diane (Roop) Reichenbach, age 40, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed from this life into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Gina was born September 30, 1968 in Akron, OH.She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Mark Reichenbach, of the home, mother, Sharon Roop of Port St. Lucie, FL, father, Charles Roop of Canton, OH, mother-in-law, Pat Mick of Canal Fulton, OH, sisters, Teresa Greenlief of Alliance, OH, Lisa Alfman of Franklinton, NC, Deirdre (Ben) Wesley of Franklinton, NC, brother, Gary Roop of Raleigh, NC, sisters-in-law, Pam Stump, Cherie (Daniel) Blake, Cindy Chronister, and Ann (Marlon) Brenner, brother-in-law, Bob (Marilyn) Mick. She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Bob Mick.Gina graduated from Northwest High School in Canal Fulton, OH where she was also the Old Canal Days Festival Queen. Gina and Mark were married on March 12, 1988 in Clinton, OH. Shortly after their marriage, they relocated to the Raleigh-Durham area of NC where they established a wonderful life together. Gina was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in September 1998. In April of 2003, they moved to Port Saint Lucie, FL to enjoy Florida’s warmer climate. Gina, with the constant care and support of her husband, battled this disease for ten years until her death. During her illness, Gina was an inspiration to countless others and a living testimony to the power of faith in God.She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have come in contact with her. Gina truly loved her Lord and led many souls to Him through out her Christian outreach work, Sunday school class, and personal testimony.Donations in Gina’s memory may be made to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710.Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2008 from 4-6 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2008 at 6:00 PM at Westside Baptist Church, Ft. Pierce. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens in Raleigh, NC under the direction of Gentry-Newell & Vaughan, Oxford, NC, phone # 919-693-5191.
