Gladys “Honey” Rising, 91, died November 12, 2011 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Mrs. Rising was born in New York, New York and moved to Port St. Lucie in 1979 coming from Norwalk, Connecticut.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Trottier of Port St. Lucie, FL, Bonnie Boaz of Chapel Hill, NC and Sheryl Skidd of Stamford, CT; sons, David Rising of Southington, CT, Douglas Rising of Norwalk, CT and Russell Rising of Port St. Lucie, FL; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Russell E. Rising.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Port St. Lucie, 2401 SE Sidonia Street, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952.
Services: A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church of Port St. Lucie.
