Gloria D. Lockridge

Gloria D. Lockridge, 76, died on November 25, 2024 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. 

Mrs. Lockridge was born on January 7, 1948 to Fred & Etta Robinson. She was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida. 

Gloria graduated from Lincoln Park Academy, Class of 66’, Tennessee State University (Undergraduate, 1970), and Florida A&M University (Graduate, 1976)

Prior to retirement, she was a teacher for Broward County Public Schools and St. Lucie County School District. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Gloria was an avid book reader, enjoyed going to the movies, going to the beach, and attending church.

Survivors include a son, Randolph Lockridge (Port St. Lucie, FL); a brother, Freddie Robinson, Sr.( Pembroke Pines, FL); four sisters: Claritha Buchanan (Columbia, TN); Reatha Holmes (Orlando, FL), Linda Morgan (Rocky Mount, NC), and Christine Jones (Ft. Pierce, FL); fourteen nieces and nephews: Dr. LaFreda Smith, Lewis Buchanan, Yolonda Holland, Emmanuel Lyles, Pamela Young, Freddie Robinson Jr., Edward Nakia Buchanan, Dr. Katrina Smith, Markus Morgan, Tashauna Merriweather, Clarissa Cameron, and Ashley Jones; numerous cousins and sorrowing friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Etta Smith, father, Fred Robinson, stepfather, Jeff Smith, sister, Patricia Wingfield and niece, Denise Lyles.

Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, Fort Pierce.
