Gloria M. Spooner, 85, died January 2, 2016 in Stuart, Florida.
Mrs. Spooner was born in Ettrick, Virginia and moved to Fort Pierce 31 years ago coming from East Point, Florida.
She was a pianist, organist and singer. She loved to crochet, making baby blankets for everyone. She also collected deer.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Donald) Anderson of Stuart, FL; sons, James (Shirley) Spooner of Ulysses, KA, Jeffrey (Kathleen) Spooner of St. Mary’s, GA and Richard Spooner of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Helen Webb of North Carolina; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.W. Spooner, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 12-1 PM with a service to follow at 1:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
