Gregory S. “Greg” Giunta
Gregory Scott Giunta, a professional tile installer, died unexpectedly in his home on January 28, 2022 at the age of 56.
Greg was born in Oklahoma City on October 6, 1965 to his parents Santo Giunta and Sandra Giunta (Prince) and grew up in Kernersville, North Carolina. He quickly became a fan of the Tar Heels which gave rise to him playing football as a kid. He successfully graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1983. He was a problem-solver and loved working which he started after graduation. Greg moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida to work in a diesel shop with his Uncle John, where he met and married Patti on March 29, 1997.
Greg was adept with working with his hands which led him to his passion of professional tile installing. He enjoyed any wood working and handyman project and his love of art allowed him to bring anyone’s vision to life. He was an avid guitar player who enjoyed listening and playing with family and friends. He had a love for animals and was devoted to his three dogs, Amber, Brady and Neily. He enjoyed being the life of the party and always making people laugh. He was a devoted husband, stepfather, and Grampy who enjoyed spending time with his family and wave surfing at the beach. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Patti Troy Giunta of Port St. Lucie, FL; stepson, Gregory Lopes of Orlando, FL; stepdaughter, Alyssa Lopes of Palm City, FL; mother, Sandra Walsh of Pawley’s Island, SC; father & stepmother, Sam & Evelyn Giunta of Surprise, AZ; sister, Stephanie Smith; precious grandsons, Gregory, Tomas, and Layton; mother-in-law, Rita Ireland of Westminster, MD;several nieces, nephews, cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar & Ruth Prince and Angelo & Vi Giunta.

Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM with a service to follow at 1:00 PM at Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Boulevard, Port St. Lucie, FL.
