Harriett Harris Benson, age 67, died on August 5, 2011, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Benson was born in Bainbridge, Georgia. She lived in Quincy, Florida until 1950 when she moved to Fort Pierce, where she was a resident for 46 years.
She graduated from Quincy High School. She was a dental assistant for 33 years and worked for Dr. Jeff Fox for 28 of those years. She was a member of the Fort Pierce Elks Lodge #1520, was an avid traveler, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Steve Harris (Gaby); daughters, Marydonna McGee, Kathy Rankine (Bill); grandchildren, Joseph Harris, James Harris, Karlee Rankine; sisters, Delores Patrick, Jeannie Hazelief, and dear friend and companion, Jim “J.J.” Johnson.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 5:00 PM at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, with Father John Leibler officiating.
