Helen Sabulis Greenwood

Helen Sabulis Greenwood of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away May 31, 2015 at the age of 92.
Helen was born April 29, 1923 in Gardner, Massachusetts to the late Joseph and Anna Sabulis. She married the late Robert D. Greenwood in 1954 and lived several years in Connecticut and Rhode Island before moving to Fort Pierce in 1973.

Helen was a Librarian for the St. Lucie County public library. She had a passion for reading and a love of books, which she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Helen enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her friends and family. She was a generous hostess who loved company, and often opened her home to family visiting from out of town. Helen always had kind and practical advice to share. She was a woman who touched many lives.
Helen was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church.

Helen is survived by her loving children: Robert Greenwood and his wife Robin, of Waycross, Georgia; Mary Ramsey and her husband Greg, of Prescott, Arizona; Elizabeth Green and her husband Robert, of Fort Pierce, Florida; and Peter Greenwood, of Chino Valley, Arizona.
And her beloved grandchildren: Nicole Greenwood, of Dayton, Ohio; Thomas Ramsey; Andrew Ramsey; Clinton Ramsey; and Kaitlyn Ramsey, of Prescott, Arizona; Sarah Green; Matthew Green; Zachary Green; and Joshua Green, of Fort Pierce, Florida; Shane Green, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and Jessica Leal, of Waycross, Georgia.
And great grandchildren: Zoe Greenwood, of Dayton, Ohio; and Caden Thift, of Waycross, Georgia.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Anna Sabulis, her husband Robert Greenwood, daughter Ann Greenwood, and siblings Anne Hojnowski, Joseph Sabulis, John Sabulis, and Stanley (Tardy) Sabulis.

Memorial service and burial will be held in Stratford, Connecticut.
