Helen Theresa (Debel) O'Connell

Helen Theresa (DeBel) O’Connell, 84, died June 30, 2020 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mrs. O’Connell was born in Capac, Michigan and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.
She was a longtime parishioner at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, Fort Pierce and Sacred Heart, Okeechobee, FL. She was a loving homemaker who devoted her life to her family.

Survivors include her husband, James O’Connell; daughters, Mary Thaxton and Veronica Andrews; sons, James, Daniel, John, and Michael O’Connell; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Maria & Camiel DeBel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Catholic charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 4:00-5:00 PM with a prayer service at 5:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
