Henry Andrew Hayda, 82, died May 31, 2009, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Hayda was born in Yorkville, Ohio, and was a resident of Port St. Lucie since 1992, coming from Warren, Ohio.
He retired from Packard Electric, a Division of General Motors, after 48 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Micheline Hayda of Port St. Lucie; sons, Michael Hayda of Warren, OH, Bruce Hayda of Loxahatchee, FL and Greg Hayda of Palm Bay, FL; brother, Chester Hayda of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters, Margaret Hayda and Jenny Hayda of Warren, OH; and 7 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one brother, 4 sisters and his daughter, Karen Hayda-Takach.
Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S. E. Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34997.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 10:00 AM.
