Herbert Henry Johnson, 94, died September 25, 2012 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Johnson was born in Plainfield, New Jersey and moved to Stuart, Florida 15 years ago from France.
Herbert was an insurance broker in Paris, France for 44 years. He was a member of the American Club of Paris and member and past president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Paris. He promoted American Softball in France and was the co-founder of the Franco-American Softball League, enjoyed sports reporting even in his retirement and traveled all over the world.
Survivors include his sons, Larry Bracken of Gulf Breeze, FL and Emeric Dally of Sunrise, FL; 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indian River State College Scholarship Fund, 3209 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
Services: A private service will be held.
