Herbert Lee Martin, 77, died December 1, 2010 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Martin was born in Waycross, Georgia and moved to Ft. Pierce in 2003 coming from Hendersonville, North Carolina.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War. He was a Past Master Mason for the Lodge in Clifton, Virginia, member of the Forest Park Baptist Church in Vero Beach, and a member of the Local 100 Sheet Metal Workers Union in Washington, D.C. for 20 years. He enjoyed carving decorative wood ducks and was also a C. B. Radio operator, known as “Silverdollar261.”
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Martin of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Cary A. Martin of Casar, NC, John J. Martin and Kevin S. Martin both of Zirconia, NC; daughters, Cathy Finnie of Salisbury, NC and Kimber-leigh Anderson of Raleigh, NC; sisters, Mary Jo Cable and Lorraine Silvey both of Hendersonville, NC; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 12:15-1:15 PM at Forest Park Baptist Church, 796 20th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32962. A service will follow at 1:30 PM at the church. Burial will take place at Forest Oaks Cemetery in Havelock, North Carolina.
