Herbert Robert Grossman
Herbert Robert Grossman, 77, died October 2, 2011 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
By the time you are reading this, by my wishes, I should have been cremated.
I worked for the Grumman Aerospace Corporation for over 25 years and retired as a Corporate Officer. I enjoyed my career and was lucky enough to accomplish my desired goals. I fortunately permitted to have been assigned the following: Chief Engineer at the Kennedy Space Center for Lunar Landing Module, Engineering Director at Grumman’s Aircraft Flight Test Facility, Director of Manufacturing Operations for all Bethpage Plants and Aircraft (2billion dollars in assets and 15,000 employees), Director of Operations for all experimental and prototype aircraft through flight or production which also included Special Programs (classified aircraft). My management priorities were: safety first, quality, people and employees, minorities and women THEN cost and schedule.
My philosophy, in actions in life, was guided by the principles set forth by the Bible.
My survivors include my wife Pam, two sons Keith and Mark, and two brothers “Duke” (his wife Jean) & “Chet”, and one grandson Christian Herbert.
I request that no memorial contributions be made on my behalf. I further request that there be no funeral services of any kind. My life has always been at peace with God!
I do humbly request that my neighbors and friends visit my wife and family, at our home, in this time of their need.
See you all in Heaven,
Herb
