Herman F. Young

Herman Francis Young was born on October 5, 1924 and passed on to his Savior September 17, 2007.
He was born in Blount Township, IL and relocated to Florida in 1968, at that time owning and managing South Plaza Shell. After a brief return to Danville, IL, he and his lovely wife, Esther Lorraine, returned to Fort Pierce in 1978. Herman was a member of Faith Baptist Church from 1978 to present and a deacon from 1981 to 2001.He and Esther Lorraine Riley were married June 3, 1945. They have three children, Herman E. (Gene) Young, Linda Kay Young, and Debra Sue (Kerry) Burke. He leaves behind 10 endearing grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Nellie Young and 6 siblings, Everett, Matilda, Vivian, Milton, June and Bill.He has forever enriched our lives and will be greatly missed. His life verses were I. Corinthians 15:58 and Daniel 12:3.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997. A heartfelt thanks to Hospice for all they did to make his last days peaceful.Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, September 21, 2007 from 5-7 PM at Faith Baptist Church, Ft. Pierce. A service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Faith Baptist Church. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
