Herman Goins, 94, died October 28, 2011 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Goins was born in Peason, Louisiana and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1943 coming from North Carolina.
He worked as a Yard Master for F.E.C. Railroad in Ft. Pierce for 35 years, retiring in 1979. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Southside Baptist Church, Ft. Pierce.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Lula Mae Goins of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, D. Wanda Watanabe of Reno, NV and Elizabeth Hamrick of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, John “Buddy” Goins of Ft. Pierce, FL and Robert M. Goins of Blairsville, GA; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Southside Baptist Church, 302 E. Weatherbee Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.
Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 1:00-2:00 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
