Herman John Paul, Jr., 83, died January 23, 2009 in Ft. Pierce, FL.
Mr. Paul was born in Zanesville, Ohio and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1971 coming from West Palm Beach, FL.
He served in the US Army during WWII and was retired from Local Union 630. Mr. Paul was a member of the VFW and St. Anastasia Catholic Church. He loved to restore cars.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jean Paul, of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Christina Lucas-Delevante, of The Villages, FL, Jennifer Eaton, of Ocala, FL, and Diana Marcano, of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons, Stephen Paul, Sr., of Andover, CT and Douglas Paul, of Hilo, HI; sister, Marjorie Michel, of Zanesville, OH; brothers, Richard Paul and Daniel Paul, both of Zanesville, OH; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 1924 Zephyr Ave., Ft. Pierce, FL 34982.
Services: A visitation will be held Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Haisley Funeral Home from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at St. Mark’s Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial with full military honors will take place at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
