Horace Dean Scoggins of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away on March 26, 2017 at the age of 71.
Horace was born on January 13, 1946 in Weiner, Arkansas. Horace was married to Viola Scoggins for 54 years.
Horace was an over the road truck driver who traveled to every state and loved to stop in Las Vegas and one of his favorite pastimes was watching western movies. He started at a very young age farming and then went on to be a great mechanic. While in Memphis, working at the Ford dealership, he had the chance to work on Elvis Presley’s limo.
Horace was survived by his wife, Viola; sister, Louella Scoggins; 3 daughters, Jackie Mullins, Laura Scoggins, and Cheryl Scoggins; 2 sons, Michael Scoggins and Jimmy Scoggins; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and cousins.
Horace was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mary Scoggins, as well as a brother and sister.
There was a private family service on March 28, 2017 held at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, Florida.
