Howard C. Smith

Howard C. Smith, 90, died June 12, 2007 at Life Care of Port St. Lucie.Mr. Smith was born in Dandalia, Illinois and moved to Port St. Lucie in 1984 coming from Parma, Ohio.He worked as a truck mechanic for BFI for many years and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed gardening and dearly loved his animals but his passion was baseball.Survivors include his daughter, Donna-Jean Fox of Ft. Pierce, FL; granddaughter, Jennifer Radu of Stuart, FL; grandson, David Radu of Port St. Lucie, FL and great-granddaughter, Victoria Sesta of Stuart, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean C. Smith and son-in-law, Bill Fox.Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home Chapel.
