Howard Peter Whitcomb, Jr.Howard Peter Whitcomb, Jr., 72, died December 30, 2007 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.Mr. Whitcomb was born in Manhattan, New York and moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1975 coming from Millstone, New Jersey.He was a former fireman and police officer for Suffolk County in Long Island, New York and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Liscio of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons, Howard P. Whitcomb, III of Port St. Lucie, FL and Michael E. Whitcomb of Stuart, FL; sisters, Patricia Manarino of Long Island, NY, Julianne Baker of Mt. Quemby, NJ and Maryanne Mono of Long Island, NY; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara.Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2008 from 5-8 PM with a Wake Service at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery, Port St. Lucie, FL.
