Isfried I. Probst, 102, died September 13, 2007 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Mr. Probst was born in Bellville, Illinois and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1976 coming from Key Biscayne, Florida.
He is a graduate of Notre Dame, ’26, Chemical Engineer, Class Secretary for over 20 years, President of Notre Dame Club of Miami, Man of the Year ND Club, Clerk, U.S. House of Representatives, Attorney, Missouri and Illinois Bar, Clerk, Illinois Supreme Court, Secretary and Treasurer of Key Biscayne Yacht Club for 14 years, Captain U.S. Army Transportation Corps, Army Intelligence Officer and Public Relations Officer, Florida Licensed Insurance Adjustor and Realtor, President Florida Independent Adjustor Association, Grand Knight Knights of Columbus, Member of Rotary Club and Ft. Pierce Pelican Yacht Club.Survivors include his daughter, Mary Jane Probst of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, John B. Probst of Davie, FL, Robert I. Probst of Hobe Sound, FL and Bernard I. Probst of Miami, FL; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Frances Probst and Mary C. Box 771, Notre Dame, IN 46556.Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2007 from 6-8 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Miami, FL.
