Ila Josephine Kesler, 89, died April 7, 2014 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Ila was born in Stuart, Florida and moved to Fort Pierce in 1969, coming from Illinois.

She was a Registered Nurse. Ila was a member of Saint Mark’s Catholic Church, active in the prayer group and loved to sew. She was a graduate of Saint Anastasia High School.

She is survived by her daughters, Ila Rae and Thomas Merten of Jacksonville, FL, Sandy Kesler of Fort Pierce, FL; granddaughters, Amy and Joseph Bovat, of Port St. Lucie, FL, Erin Merten, of Gainesville, FL; grandson, Jonathan Merten and Virginie Rolland, of Arkansas; 2 great-granddaughters, Emily and Julia; sister, Muriel Fonnett of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, David Alford of Okeechobee, FL. She is preceded in death by her husband Ray Kesler.
