Ilona Joyce Yesensky, 80, passed away on September 30, 2022.
Ilona was born in Fayette City, PA on January 18, 1942 and lived a wonderful childhood in the country.
Ilona married the love of her life, James, in Charleroi, PA on the first day of Spring (June 21) in 1969 by a Justice of the Peace and they celebrated at home with friends and family. She became a mom in 1972 and the family relocated to Fort Pierce in 1974. She always wanted to be a wife and mother, and she accomplished both well with so much love and dedication.
Ilona attended Indian River Community College and was employed with the St. Lucie County School System as an Administrative Secretary until she retired. Though she loved the many co-workers and friends she made over the years, she preferred her years as homemaker, mother and grandmother.
Ilona was so talented and it showed in her many hobbies. She loved sewing, painting, gourmet cooking, cross-stitching and creating lots of crafts over the years. You could find her outside tending to her flower garden which even strangers would stop to compliment her on (she loved that).
Ilona loved her family more than anything else. She loved to laugh and build memories with her grandchildren, reminisce and share ideas with her daughter, tea times and deserved travel and relaxation with her husband. It truly was a life well lived and there are no words for how deeply she is missed.
Ilona is survived by husband James Yesensky of Fort Pierce; daughter Jennifer married to Phillip Oates also of Fort Pierce; sister Dixie married to Pete Logoyda of Dade City; and her grandchildren Amelia, Phillip and Alyson.
