Imogene Garner Jarvis

Imogene Garner Jarvis, 82, died February 20, 2009 at the Indian River Memorial Hospital, Vero Beach, Florida.
Mrs. Jarvis was born in Chapin, Illinois and in 1986 moved to Ft. Pierce, Florida coming from Miami, Florida.
She was an accountant and manager for a finance company for many years, until moving to Ft. Pierce where she was employed with the Social Security Administration until retirement. She loved to cook and garden.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanne Newson of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, Edward Jarvis of Ft. Pierce, FL; sister, Bonnie Saleeby of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Vancil Garner of West Palm Beach, FL; and 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Colburn Jarvis and sister, Marion Marie Fruster.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Vero Beach, 1927 27th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church of Vero Beach. Inurnment will be held in Miami, Florida.
