Imogene "Genie" Thompson

Imogene “Genie” Thompson, 90, passed away on December 13, 2016 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

She was born in Islip, New York, and has been a resident of Fort Pierce, Florida, since 1989 coming from St. Bart’s, West Indies.

She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and a Daughter of the King. She loved to sew and do needlepoint. She also enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by a daughter, Marcie Henningsen; a son, Brian Henningsen; three grandchildren, Amy Gebhard, T.J. Gebhard, Gregg Gebhard; and five great-grandchildren, Ryan Hamm, Kenyce Gebhard, Cameron Ortiz, Michaela Gebhard, and Lindsey Gebhard.
She was preceded in death by, a granddaughter, Melanie, a great-granddaughter, Aliyah.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981. www.TCHospice.org or to the Caring Fund at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 210 South Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce, FL 34950.

Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, Florida. Service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 1:00PM at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Fort Pierce, Florida.
