Inez Joanne Ward

Inez JoAnne Ward, 76, passed away at home with her family by her side on March 6, 2018 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Ward was born in South Fork, Pennsylvania and moved to Fort Pierce in 1960 coming from Lake Worth, Florida.
Prior to retirement, Inez worked for St. Lucie County for 38 years. She volunteered at Lawnwood Hospital, Fort Pierce Little League and at Westside Baptist Church. She was also a trustee on the St. Lucie County Fair Board, member of Beta Sigma Phi (Preceptor Chapter) and a board member for Safe Space for many years.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Carl A. Ward, Sr. of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Carl A. “Buddy” (wife Dana)Ward, Jr. of Fort Pierce, FL and Douglas Alan (wife Sheryl) Ward of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Audra (husband Eric)Macon of Fort Pierce, FL; stepdaughter, Rosalyn (husband Jerry) Blanton of North Carolina; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Thelma Kern, brothers, Bob and Don Kern and sisters, Nancy “Skip” and Norma Younker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Lucie County Fair Association www.stluciecountyfair.org or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital www.stjude.og
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 2-4 PM with a service to follow at 4:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
