Jackie Wayne Vance, 60, died on December 28, 2012 in Fort Pierce, FL.
Mr. Vance was born in Dinuba, CA and moved to Fort Pierce 58 years ago, coming from California.
He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp, serving during the Vietnam conflict, where he received a Purple Heart and a National Service Defense Medal. He was an engineering inspector for 28 years with the City of Fort Pierce. He was a member of Fort Pierce Fraggle Rock.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Vance of Fort Pierce; daughters, Darlene Vance Santiago of Fort Pierce, Tammy Ockerman of Fort Pierce, and Susie Tilley of New Bern, NC; sister, Mickie Jones of St. Cloud, FL; brother, Gene Vance of Fort Pierce, 6 grandchildren; Paige Bliss, Lexie Colvell, Landon Colvell, Audrie Colvell, Christopher Miller and Kimberly Tilley. He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Dorothy Vance and sister, Linda Vance Smallwood.
Services: A gathering will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with Military Honors at 1:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A reception will follow at Haisley Reception Center. Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
