Mrs. Nelson was born in Plainfield, New Jersey and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1970.
Prior to retirement, she was a bookkeeper.
Survivors include her pet companion, Buddy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren J. Nelson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of St. Lucie County, P. O. Box 3661, Fort Pierce, FL 34948.
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 1-2 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, Ft. Pierce.
