James R. Barker, 77, of Fort Pierce, Florida, born on November 28, 1944, passed away on July 31, 2022.
He is survived by two brothers, Roy (Nancy) Barker of Vero Beach, FL and Curtis Barker of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Betty Meyer of Fort Pierce, FL; son, Kirk (Darlene) Barker of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; son, Logan Winn of Fort Pierce, FL; several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hama and Louise Barker, wife, Mae Jean Owens Barker, brothers, Raymond, Edgar, Luther, Eugene and Malcolm, sisters, Beverly Black, and Joyce Morton all of Fort Pierce, FL, daughter, Marilyn Mullins of Colorado.
He served in the U.S. Army and was an Operating Engineer of Local Union 487 and worked at St. Lucie Nuclear Plant for 42 years. He was a member of the American Legion, AMVETS and Eagles.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM at White City Cemetery.
