James L. Cubbedge

April 16, 1935 — August 1, 2016

James Leonard Cubbedge, 81, died August 1, 2016 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Cubbedge was born in St. Augustine, Florida and moved to Fort Pierce in the summer of 1960.

He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved the Lord with all of his heart; he never shied away from the opportunity to share with others, the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. He was a current member of Orange Avenue Baptist Church. When he wasn’t at church he enjoyed hunting and being in the outdoors. There was no denying his deep rooted love for his family, he was an amazing man and will be deeply missed.

You could always find him in a gun store looking to buy, sell, or trade for “A good gun”.

Survivors include his children, Tommy Cubbedge of Fort Pierce, FL, Rhonda Cubbedge of New Orleans, LA, Jimmy Stefan of Fort Pierce, FL, Jan Cannon of Sebastian, FL; sister, Jean Watson of New Smyrna, FL; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janice Cubbedge, 2013,

Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A service will be conducted on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
