James was born in Raven, Virginia and was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1961, coming from Richlands, Virginia.
He was a store manager for Walgreen’s.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Pauline Cox of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Etta Cox of Fort Pierce, FL and Rhianon Cruz of Coral Springs, FL; sisters, Madeline, Jamie, Linda and Betsy; brothers, Johnny Harris, Robert Harris and Danny Harris; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
