James E. Woods, Jr., 75, died March 18, 2011 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Woods was born in Locust Gap, Pennsylvania and moved to Port St. Lucie in 2001 coming from Coventry, Connecticut.
He worked for the East Hartford Board of Education for 20 years and was a Veteran of the U.S Marines. He enjoyed traveling and was a New England Patriot’s fan.
Survivors include his daughters, Jessica Palacko of Port St. Lucie, FL and Nancy Shanahan of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons, James Woods of Manchester, CT and William Lokatys of Denver, CO; sister, Isabell Houghton of Palm Beach, FL; brother, Robert Woods of California; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Natasha Woods and son, Lawrence Lokatys.
Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 2-3 PM with a service to follow at 3:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Center Cemetery in Coventry, Connecticut.
