James "Jim" Gately

James “Jim” Gately, 63, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2019 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Jim was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and moved to Fort Pierce at the age of 5. Jim found his happiness in the “love of his life”, Lori, woodworking, fishing and the Miami Dolphins football. He was a mango connoisseur. He and his wife Lori were the owners of Gately Grille, and he worked at the American Custom Yachts in Stuart.
Jim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lori; son, James; sister, Janet (Scott) Moores; brother, Thomas (Missy) Gately; grandgirls, Jillian and Jordan; several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys Gately.
Friends and family may join us in the Celebration of Life for Jim on February 10, 2019 from 1-4 PM at the Moose Lodge in Lakewood Park, Fort Pierce.
