James D. Ivey, 70, died August 23, 2015 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Ivey was born in Starke, Florida and lived in Fort Pierce for 48 years.
Ivey was a member of the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and the Fort Pierce Police Department.
Survivors include his wife, Gale Ivey; his children, James D. Ivey, Jr. and Summer Ivey Platt; very special person & daughter of his heart, Cathy Stokes; grandchild, Chase Garrett Platt all of Fort Pierce; aunt and uncle, Arlene & Jack Beasley; aunt, Vivian Sawyer, and his loyal dog, Kojak. He was preceded in death by his mother, O’Rena Mott and his father, J.D. Ivey.
His guidance and perseverance will be missed.

Services: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 5-6 PM with a service at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
