James Arthur Longstreet, 66 years old, of Ft. Pierce passed away after many years of battling cancer on December 15th, 2023.
He was born in Charlottesville Virginia in 1957 to James Jeanus Longstreet and Mary Elouise Burns Longstreet. Shortly after his birth his family moved to Ft. Pierce, Florida. “JL” graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School and attended Indian River State College before pursuing a career in the restaurant industry where he owned and operated the Fish Monger and the The Ramp Raw Bar. He loved fast boats, a good party, fishing, traveling, great food, the Cove, and spending time with his family and pets.
James was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Robin Robertson Longstreet, children Leighton Longstreet Maley and James Daniel Longstreet, sisters Julia Baggett (Donald), Tiffany Broome (Jim), and Denise Stonecipher. Grandsons Sebastian James Otamendi and Maverick Maley.
His celebration of life will be held on January 20th, 2024, at the St. Lucie Village School House from 1-4pm.
