James Albert Louden
Port Saint Lucie, Florida

James Albert “Jim” Louden died July 17, 2013 in the Treasure Coast Hospice House, Fort Pierce, Florida.
Jim was born at home in Everett, PA on September 28, 1925, to Martha Gordon Louden & James Irwin Louden. He was married in Langhorne, PA where they lived for 10 years. Jim & his Family moved to Florida when he accepted a job for Eastern Air Lines in 1956, where he worked for 28 years.

Jim was a loving and supportive husband, our dad, our hero, our Pop Pop, our rock. His absence will be a great void in our lives.

Jim served in the Army Air Corps during WW2 as an aircraft mechanic. He was the director of Veterans Affair for the city of Hialeah from 1987-1996. In 2001, he was among those honored by the Government of France for his part in the liberation of France in 1944-45. Jim was an active member of the Eastern Air Lines American Legion post 292 in Miami Springs, Florida. He was a true American, a Patriot and a shining example of the greatness of our nation.

He loved watching “his” Miami Marlins, & was an avid race car enthusiast, having volunteered at Sebring International Speedway for 18 years. His other hobbies included bowling, computers, and flowers (especially orchids).

Jim is survived by his wife, of 67 years, Roberta Ross Louden, his children Jacob Albert of Franklin, NC, Dorothy Bialek (Michael) of Equinunk, PA, Roberta Lynn of Orlando, FL, Randy James (Monica) of Falling Waters, WV, and Bret Robert of Port Saint Lucie, FL; 10 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to the Treasure Coast Hospice House, 5090 Dunn Rd, Fort Pierce, FL 34981. www.TCHospice.org
