James E. Maghan, Sr., died February 16, 2013 in South Florida.
Jim, also known by his loved ones as “Pop”, was born in Wall Township, New Jersey, and was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1984, coming from Howell, New Jersey.
He enjoyed deep sea fishing, football, especially his N.Y. Giants. He was a driver for Lincoln Transit, a manager for Jack Baker’s Lobster Shanty for over 26 years, was a sales manager for Allstate Rent-A-Car Sales, and spent his last years as a Home Depot associate. Pop enjoyed working in the yard, loved his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren, loved his cats, was stubborn and quick witty and loved by everyone. He was a humble simple man, who was known to speak his mind and have a very great sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Lois Maghan of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Mindy Maghan-Yager (Yancy) of Fort Stewart, GA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sons, James E. Maghan, Jr. and Ronald Glenn Maghan.
