James Robert “Bob” Meredith
Bob Meredith, 91, passed away December 26, 2014 in Port St. Lucie, FL.
Bob was born in Sistersville, West Virginia and moved to Port St. Lucie 29 years ago coming from Hannibal, OH.
He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII in the US Amphibious Force. He retired from Ormet Corporation in Hannibal, OH. Bob was a 50 year member of the Freemasons of Middlebourne, WV, #34. A was also a member of the following organizations: Order of the Osiris Shrine of Wheeling, WV; Eastern Star, Chapter 50 of New Martinsville, WV; American Legion Post 318, Port St. Lucie, FL; and previous member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 931, New Martinsville, WV. He attended First Methodist Church, Port St. Lucie, FL.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Gloria Meredith, of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Cathy Meredith, of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, Gary Meredith (Carmen), of Avon Park, FL; 1st cousin, Kay; nephew, Jan Meredith; niece, Luanne Beard; granddaughters, Meredith, Jessica, Alaina, and Amanda; grandson, Mac; great-granddaughters, Jade and Kaitlyn Meredith; and great-grandsons, Morgan Robert and Garrett James. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, William and Margaret Meredith.
