James O. Smith

Mr. Smith was born in Jewell Ridge, Virginia and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1957 coming from Mt. Gilead, Ohio.He was the owner/operator of Smith’s Garage, served in the U.S. Army during WWII as Staff Sergeant, and received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Lela Smith of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Patsy Warney of Douglas, GA, and Carolyn Sesco of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, James O. Smith, Jr., Larry W. Smith, and William Kyle Smith all of Ft.
