James was a native of Fort Pierce, born in Indrio. He was a member of IUOE#487, a commercial fisherman, an avid trout fisherman, enjoyed restoring classic cars and made Mary smile every day.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Mary L. Tyson of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, James L. Tyson, Jr. of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Lisa L. Tyson of Vero Beach, FL and Gina Tyson of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Alexander Tyson and sister, Betty Traynor both of Fort Pierce, FL. He is preceded in death by his son, Timmy W. Tyson, parents, Lacey and Isabell Hagan Tyson, sister, Leila Chandler and brother Leroy Tyson.
There are no services planned at this time. A Memorial will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
