Jane Morrell, 91 passed away on July 2, 2018, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
She was born on September 21, 1926, New York City, New York to Alfred D. and Margaret B. Morrell. There are no surviving family members.
She was a graduate of Hunter College and received a Master Degree in Guidance and Counseling from New York University. She was employed at the National Board YWCA for 15 years. In 1958, she appeared on “To Tell the Truth” TV show and was the winner.
Jane moved to St. Lucie County in 1966 to become a counselor at Dan McCarty and Fort Pierce Central High School. Ms. Morrell retired in 1991 and volunteered at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution/FAU for over 25 years. She was a member of several local organizations including DAR.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. A prayer service will be held in the church chapel at 3:00pm on Friday, July 13, 2018. She will be interred with her parents at Mt. Hope Cemetery, in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
