Janet Marie Hensel, 58, died October 6, 2016 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Hensel was born in North East, Pennsylvania and moved to Fort Pierce in 1961.
She was an executive secretary at Port St. Lucie High School and worked at St. Lucie County Property Appraiser’s Office and she also worked at the Secretary of State’s Office with District Representative, Chuck Nergard. She was a Girl Scout Leader in Palm Glades, Co-Chair of Catholic Commit on Scouting of Palm Beach, Eucharistic Minister at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Band Parent President, active in the Port St. Lucie Drama Department, 4H parent and volunteer, avid knitter and loved to crochet. She enjoyed the Renaissance Fair and Civil War reenacting and enjoyed going to Sea World with Rose & Rick.
Survivors include her husband, Fredric Hensel of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Jennie (John) Carpenter of Tallahassee, FL and Elizabeth (Zachary) Bassett of Fort Pierce, FL; brothers, Thomas J. Loupe of Pennsylvania, Frank M. Loupe of Florida, Michael A. Loupe of Fort Pierce, FL and Harold P. Loupe of Fort Pierce. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Carrie Loupe.
Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 5-8 PM with a Wake Service at 5:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
