Janie Bell Hardin, 91, of Ft. Pierce, FL went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2024.
Sylvester and Bell (Yates) Arnold welcomed Janie to their family on January 31, 1933 in Okeechobee, FL. Janie became a loving sister to her six siblings.
Janie married the love of her life, James Stafford Hardin in a beautiful ceremony on January 29, 1969. Together, James and Janie visited every state except Alaska before he passed away on April 3, 1995. Janie continued to love travelling but could never wait to return to her home state of Florida. Janie was a loving daughter and sister. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, great grandma and great great grandma. Janie instilled the love of Christ in her family and was a Rock to all for strength and wisdom when they needed.
Janie joined Bible Baptist Church of Ft. Pierce in 1980. She was a devoted member and was the longest living member of BBC of Ft. Pierce at the time of her passing. Janie was a Prayer Warrior, her love of the Lord was apparent to everyone she met, and she was never shy about sharing the Gospel of Jesus with anyone.
Janie was predeceased by her parents, Sylvester and Bell Arnold, her beloved husband James S. Hardin and all five of her dear children, Gail Bonner, Elaine Gurley, Susan Ingram, Rockey Blount and Denice Bennett. She joins in eternal rest four of her siblings and their spouses, Priscilla (Ray) Nettles, Katherine (Bill) Snipes, Sylvia (Jack) Pennington, and Sylvester (Marlene) Arnold, as well as sister-in-law, Rita Arnold.
She will be forever missed by her sister, Maybelline (Franklin) Creach and brother, Marvin Arnold. She will be remembered with love by her daughter in law Lillian Blount, son in laws, James Bennett and Jerry Bonner, 14 grandchildren, Charles “Chuckie”, Terry, Angie, Raquel, Cheryl, Tara, Jason, Jamie, David, Crystal, Roxanne, Reba, Dewayne, and Melissa: 21 great-grandchildren and numerous great great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Bible Baptist Church of Ft. Pierce, her home church for nearly 5 decades.
Her family is especially grateful for the care given to her by the staff at The Manor of Ft Pierce, her residence for the last several months of her life.
Family will welcome guests for a visitation at the Haisley Funeral Home 3015 Okeechobee Rd Ft. Pierce, FL 34947 on Wednesday, July 31 2024 from 4PM to 6PM. The funeral will be at 9:30 AM, at Haisley Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at White City Cemetery 3800 Sunrise Blvd Ft Pierce, FL on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 11AM.
