Janie E. "Libby" (Peterson) Wilder, 64, of Summerlin Rd., passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at her home.
She was born December 16, 1952, in Ft. Pierce, the daughter of the late Edward and Janie (Milton) Peterson, and spent her early years in Ludowici, Georgia.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a bus driver for 28 years.
Mrs. Wilder was a member of the Elks BPOE #1520, and loved crafts, cooking and baking, and finding a great bargain at yard sales - turning junk into gold. The most important thing in her life was family and spent as much time as possible with them.
Libby is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard L. Wilder of Port St. Lucie; a son and his wife, Richard L. "Dickie" and Lesley A. Wilder of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Stephanie L. Jacquin and Karlene E. Wilder, both of Port St. Lucie, and G. Marie and husband Joshua C. Jenkins of Vero Beach; grandchildren, Kylee M. Wilder and Kelsey R. Wilder both of Ft. Pierce, Paul R. Jacquin of Port St. Lucie, Nathan C. Jenkins of Abilene, TX, Zachary S. Granie of Port St. Lucie, Cody W. Cox of Ft. Wayne, AK, Ashley M. Jenkins of Columbia, SC, Sadie E. Granie of Port St. Lucie and Tyler S. Jacquin and Dylan T. Lechleiter both of Ft. Pierce; great grandchildren, Bentlei R. Wilder, Branson J. Goodwyn and Joey R. Mariano all of Ft. Pierce and Kase J. Massocco of Port St. Lucie; brothers, Marvin E. Peterson of Ft. Pierce and Edward "Junior" Peterson of Anchorage, AK; a sister, Patsy Langford and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2017, from 1-2pm in the Orange Ave. Baptist Church, 100 Cyclone Dr., Ft. Pierce, with services following immediately after with Pastor David Hart, officiating.
