Jason Calvin Lane

Jason Calvin Lane, 34, died February 6, 2017 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Jason was born in Fort Pierce, FL at Lawnwood Medical Center on May 10, 1982. Jason attended school in Fort Pierce and graduated from Lincoln Park Academy in 2000, receiving an International Baccalaureate Diploma. He then proceeded to Florida Atlantic University Honors College in Jupiter, FL, graduating in 2004. Jason then attended The University of Wisconsin Madison receiving his Master’s Degree in Psychology. Jason was working on a PhD in Psychology at the time of his death.

Jason was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed both hunting and fishing whenever possible. Jason was also a musician and enjoyed playing guitar with his friends and family. He enjoyed cooking for others and had a passion for learning; which he pursued until his death. Jason was a devoted Son, Brother, and Friend.

Survivors include his mother, Delores Lane and his brothers, Chadwick and Christopher Lane. Jason is also survived by other family members including Leah, Joely, Ian, Wyatt, Ashley, Erin, Ryan, Kara and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his father Calvin W. Lane and his brother William Slade Lane.

There will be a “celebration of life” memorial for Jason on March 11, 2017 at Haisley Funeral Home Reception Center in Fort Pierce beginning at 12:00 noon. Food and drinks will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, the Lane family requests memorial contributions be made to the Calvin W. Lane scholarship fund at Indian River State College Foundation (3209 Virginia Ave, Fort Pierce, FL 34981). https://www.irscfoundation.org/
