Jean Huck

November 11, 1926 — November 19, 2004

Mrs. Huck was born in Denver, Colorado and moved to St. Lucie County in 1955 coming from Scottsbluff, New England.
She and her husband, Duane, owned and operated a retail office machine business, Huck Office Equipment in Ft. Pierce, and she retired from the St. Lucie County schools, completing her career as a business office manger at Indian River Community College. She was a lifelong Episcopalian. Jean loved cooking, gardening, her bridge group of forty years, traveling internationally and was an accomplished seamstress. She was active in civic groups in Ft. Pierce, including Soroptomists, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church guilds and Business and Professional Women’s Club.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy Hinton and Billie Sue Shaw both of Jacksonville, FL; sons, Jim Huck of Ft. Pierce, FL, and Ric Huck of Alpharetta, GA; sisters, Helen Hrnicek of Casper, WY, and Jo Brennan of Ft. Pierce, FL; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Duane Walter Huck, and brother, Alfred Cope Carpenter.Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
