Mr. Jean Vulgard Pyrrhon transitioned into eternal life on September 21, 2022 at the age of 92 in Brooklyn, NY. He was born to the late Marmonvil Pyrrhon and Marie Phanise Pierre of Hinche, Haiti.
He is predeceased in death by his parents, his wife Francine Salomon, his brothers Mirabeau Jean Gilles, Rochefort and Grandvil Pyrrhon, and his sisters Louisine Jean-Gilles and Mrs. Marie Ronare Renard .
Jean Vulgard Pyrrhon completed his formal education in Hinche, Haiti. Early on he worked as an office manager for SNEM (Service National d’Eradication de la Malaria). He then attended military school and the Police Academy and worked in diverse functions within law enforcement. Later, his passion for agriculture emerged and became noticeable to many farmers in the town of Los Palis where he cultivated lemons and honey on a very large scale.
He emigrated to the US in 1978 and settled in Brooklyn, NY until God called him home. He received many recognition awards for his hard work, integrity and reliability as a maintenance personnel at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC, where he remained until his retirement.
Vulgard will be remembered as a simple, compassionate and generous man. He was also a very strong advocate for natural medicine and an avid storyteller.
With warm and loving memories, he took the highway to Heaven, now survived by his son Hantz Pyrrhon and his wife Marie Pyrrhon. Daughters; Marline (Marcel) Desauguste and Mirelande Larrieux.
His grandchildren; Jesse, Alex, Noah, and Nahima Pyrrhon; Donny and Paloma Larrieux. Calem and Chama Desauguste. His great grandchildren; Frantz Jr, Angy, Ralph Prophete; Eliana, Kira Pyrrhon; Liana, Layla, Giana Desauguste. His Sister Mrs. Aviole Calizaire, his aunt Mme Arnold Pierre and a multitude of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. We offer our condolences and blessings in these trying times to the entire extended Pyrrhon, Jean-Gilles, Pierre, Renard, and Calizaire family.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 1PM to 3PM with a Memorial service to start at 2PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984.
